Police Reports

I was reading some police reports in a north suburbs community newspaper the other day. Usually, reading these reports provides some good entertainment. Here's an example:

* A 2005 Nissan Maxima valued at $20,000 was reported stolen Aug. 5 near the 2700 block of Co. Rd. 88. The victim remembered a short time later that he had loaned it to a friend.

How do you forget that you loaned your car to someone?????????????

Robs New Friend

Look what I found while I was trimming the hedges. It scared the crap out of me! It was the biggest spider I've ever seen! Well, it was smaller than a Tarantula but bigger than a quarter. It was probably about an inch and a quarter long. Rob trimmed that part of the hedge! He also made sure not to disturb the Blood Sucking Death Spider of Death.

Misbehaving Cats

I was spying on the neighbors the other day (through the telescope) when I saw Cleo sprawled out on our screen porches tarp. Here she is trying to get in through the window.

And here's Noodle making sweet love to my robe. I think it will need to be washed.

Happy Birthday To Me!!!!

Well, it was a couple of days ago. Look at what Rob got me! And I got a new bike! (Rob wants me to post a pic of that too, so everyone can see how generous he is.) My Mom even wrote me a song... It went

Happy Birthday to you,

You live in a zoo,

With Ocho and Fang,

And a bunch of cats too!

Cats do the darndest things

This is Cleo, she has always had an interest in going outside. Usually, she would try to sneak past us whenever we would open the door. Recently, Amy and I decided to let her out in the back yard to explore. Her cat-like instincts took over right away. Dead animals started appearing next to the back door, half eaten of course. I guess it's her way of saying "look what I did, you can have the rest!" She has turned into quite the little hunter. Sometimes, Cleo likes to come in and hang out with us. It turns out that her hunting skills are put to the test while indoors as well. For example, the other day I noticed that the cats were hungry so I went into the room where their food is kept. I had their food dish in one hand and with the other hand I reached into the bag of food to grab a handful. While grabbing a handful I felt something furry, "What could it be?" I thought. Possibly the cat food company put a cat toy in there as some kind of promotion. I looked into the bag of food only to find, not one, but two dead mice. I guess Cleo killed them then put them in the bag of food so that I would serve them up as a snack at a later time. No such luck, needless to say, I threw the mice away.

Rob's Dad

Rob's dad was here this weekend. He built us a shelf. Hopefully, someday we will have something to put on it.

I think they look alike....
